Ces deux journées d'étude sont organisées par Edgar Lejeune (CNRS / Univ. Paris Cité, membre associé SPHERE et ancien post-doctorant CAK) dans le cadre du projet ANR DESIGNSHS, dirigé par Charlotte Bigg (CNRS, CAK) avec Anne-Lyse Renon (Univ. Rennes 2, membre associée CAK).
Comment les visualisations générées par ordinateur ont-elles affecté les pratiques d'observation ? Comment remettent-elles en cause des opérations épistémologiques fondamentales telles que la construction d'un objet ou l'apport d'une preuve ? Comment ont-elles modifié l'organisation collective des équipes de recherche ? Les pratiques circulent-elles d'une discipline à l'autre ? Et entre les champs scientifiques et d'autres champs de pratiques non scientifiques ? Pourrait-on produire un récit global de la manière dont les technologies de visualisation ont affecté les pratiques scientifiques et les épistémologies ?
Ces journées abordent ces questions pour la période 1940-1990, c'est-à-dire avant la commercialisation massive des ordinateurs personnels et le développement du World Wide Web.
